Colors of the Spectrum
Keeping in the spirit of Project Spectrum, and following Bonne Marie's lead, I decided to change my blog template color to correspond with the month. In the process, I lost all my links, rings, and stat counters. It was such a pain to resurrect them, that my template will stay green for a while. The plan is to go back to the original template when I have time to do all the other housekeeping that goes along with it. I'm already tired of this green!
This sweater fell behind the sweater crock in the living room, and as a result, didn't get much wear this past winter. The body is Noro Kureyon, shade 92, which has all the Project spectrum colors! The bands are Lamb's Pride in shade Prairie Fire, and the tips are Aztec Turquoise. I stayed home today, and 50% of the Playboy sweater is knit. If the art directors go for it, the sweater will be on the cover of the college issue in September. Tomorrow I go back to the South side for work, but the sleeves will be knit on the machine tomorrow. I don't have pictures yet, but the intarsia front looks pretty good. I'm thinking I'm not afraid of intarsia now. I spent some time this weekend at a Lucy Neatby workshop, and did a day of intarsia, and one afternoon of buttonhole techniques. A very clever strategy for Lucy is that her patterns and yarns were on display, so lots of shopping was done. I have some lovely Blue Faced Aran for dog sweaters. The colors are beautiful, and the yarn has this lovely sheepy fragrance. I was happy to learn that a friend from my guild, Julie, along with co-workers, reads my blog! It pleases me to no end to find out that readers connect with Piccolo. She really is the heart and soul of this household. This funny little dog is the glue that holds us together.
