Lodgings
We went back to Wisconsin this weekend, and being not hot at all, which I love, Piccolo went along for the ride. We don't usually book a room in advance, because we're not sure where the journey will end. We were on our way to Stevens Point and North, but a going on the wrong ramp had us ending up in Green Bay. It's nearly impossible to find a non smoking room that will accept pets. I can't imagine that celebrities have this problem, and I'm sure that lots travel with their pets. The Man doesn't care about being in a smoking room, being an ex-smoker. He doesn't mind the way he smells after an evening at a place I call the Stinky Bar, so spending the night in a smelly room is not unusual for him. It's a deal breaker for me. We drove around, made phone calls, and were mostly told no pets, or take a smoking room. He thought I would wear down, and get tired enough to take the smoking room. We ended up in a shabby motor lodge on the shore of Lake Michigan, which was the cheapest room we've ever stayed in. Piccolo still has that musty wet smell on her from the carpet and bedding. She must get groomed this week. I think she will be boarded for the next excursion, which really makes me sad. I would have liked to have done some pattern editing after the Man had gone to sleep, but the environment was so not pleasant, that I went to sleep, too.

You're killin' me - I can just see you - up late, in a cheap motel room, waiting for the Man (to fall asleep) so you can get some designing done...
AH - the sacrifices we make for our *craft*... :)
Long Live Wisconsin!!!
