The Gift of Time

I had been saying it for months.  That if someone ever told me that I never had to go to my job again, I would be fine with it.  I suppose that I knew something would happen after my supervisior, who had been my champion and defender, left the company a month ago.  I was set free yesterday.  I am okay with it.  I spent five years being in something that was not me at my most authentic.  The only thing that's causing anxiety is that my safety net has now shrunk.  So, I guess it's a good thing that I wasn't in a hurry to drive a new car, or delayed moving Lucky Penny headquarters.  Some belt tightening is in order, and I can clearly see the trickle down effect that happens to businesses when someone becomes unemployed.  In my case, it's underemployed.  Now is the time to see what Lucky Penny can do.  I'm working on developing a business relationship with an international exporter.  Soon, Lucky Penny Hand Made sweaters will be sold in Russia, and I'm looking forward to the possibility of what may happen next.

Hope things in the Lucky Penny world start to look up. Last year when John got laid off we did some of that belt tightening stuff too. Good luck with everything!

I hope you never have to go back to the "day job." I got laid off in December and it was the best thing - long over due in my mind. I tell people I'm busy recuperating.
