The Big Show

It was something I had aspired to, and I guess it was an accomplishment just to be a part of the event. I would imagine it will look good on Lucky Penny's resume, although the server for my website is no where near ready to crash from all the additional traffic. The comments I heard from other exhibitors and some people who attended was that it was just too big, and people were not prepared to walk the whole show. I made a new product for the show, thanks to Theresa's advice. The little kerchiefs slip over a collar. A few sold, and they got a pretty favorable response. I only added two sweaters to my inventory before the show, and oddly enough, those were among the ones that sold. I'm undecided about exhibiting next year, because I may not be able to afford the entry fee. As an emerging artist, I got a smaller booth size, which was actually just right for me, and a reduced entry fee. It's a one time only offer, so next year I would have to pay full price, which is pretty steep for my little enterprise right now. I'll see how I feel about it next summer, when I would have to make a commitment. It was hard to work the show alone. I had a very nice neighbor, who appeared to have a really good show, and he would watch things if I had to leave for the bathroom, or to get a cup of coffee. I wish the Man had come to see the event. I think he would have been really surprised and impressed by how well done it was. The more seasoned artists that I met advised me to perservere, and that's what I'll do. See the Emerging Artists banner next to my space? That's were the vulgar women changed the diaper. That kid had something emerging as well.
