My mom was with me at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool festival, and she really liked the Tuscany Tank at Briar Rose Fibers. She liked the colors that I used for my own, so I thought I would make her one. Not really for Christmas, but more to thank her for helping me at the Renegade and Country Living shows. So, I ordered the yarn for it. The colors are richer than mine, I think, and an exact match can't be expected when ordering a one of a kind product. I finished it in time for her to take to Denver for an extended trip. I'll be joining her next week, as my family will be there for the Christmas holiday. The Man and I usually separate for this holiday, and he will take care of Piccolo, which he will describe as being a chore, but really, it's not. Because I won't be here, I decided to skip the holiday decorating this year. I can't trust the Man not to knock something over, and then not clean it up, because that's the sort of scene I found when I came back from San Francisco last month. So, I'll be enjoying the decorating of others this year. It's going to be a low key sort of holiday. Low expectations. It's how you don't get disappointed. That said, I am excited to see my niece, who is in Washington, D.C., and my super adorable nephew, who is in Boston.
