Just when I thought show etiquette could get no worse--this afternoon, two young women come barging through, one with an extra large stroller with an unhappy child. "What do you want from me?!" yelled the well dressed young woman at her baby. After purchasing jewelry from an exhibitor near me, these two stop the stroller in my sales area. The baby's diaper is changed in my exhibit space. I wanted to scream! The mother thing was holding the dirty diaper, and I could see the wheels turning. I thought, you better not dare expect me to have that thing in my wastebasket. She deposited it in a wastebasket belonging to the exhibitor next to me, who had her back turned to the horror that was unfolding. The exhibitor, a few minutes later, got an olfactory surprise. This morning at the show, I got an olfactory surprise of my own. A little present from my dog had stuck to my shoe, and I only realized it after I got up to my exhibit space.
The photo is a puppy in the Macy's San Francisco window, at an adoption event sponsored by their SPCA. The puppy is sleeping, despite how it looks. This is pretty much how I'm feeling right now. I'm finishing a custom piece, have a little more writing to do on that other thing, then it's knitting for me time!
