The Man and I, because of our schedules, rely on take out food quite a bit. I would much prefer to cook something. Flying home from Denver, I upgraded my television at my seat, so I could watch nesting shows like what's on HGTV and the Food Network. It makes me crazy that none of the female hosts, who all have long hair, don't have it secured back when they cook. I caught a little of Sandra Lee's Semi Homemade Cooking on the descent. If you've ever seen it, she usually wears some fitted garments to show her endowments, or something low cut. She always makes some sort of alcoholic beverage at the end. Sandra's a real party girl. She made a casserole with frozen vegetables, a potato, cooked chicken and turkey, and cream of chicken soup. Easy. I picked up ingredients tonight, and dinner was ready in less than an hour. I added sauteed leeks, which I think really made the dish. So far, the dinner is Man approved, which means I can include it in the dinner rotation. This coming year, there's going to be more cooking at home, like I used to do early in our romance.
What's cooking in the Lucky Penny vest workshop is Blue Sky's One Cable vest, knit in the recommended yarn, their worsted, which is a 50/50 wool/alpaca blend. I'm making it longer than written, but I think the instructions are kind of whack, as each size is the same length. I'm using more yarn than specified as a result, 6 hanks rather than the 5 called for. The front is done, and I'm past the armhole shaping on the back, just a few inches away from the shoulders.

Good for you - cooking at home more. I try...I try. It always ends up pasta (my fav food). I have a book with a katrillion different sauces and I've tried half! Great cable, too!
That vest looks gorgeous! I am such a sucker for vests, anyway.
Sounds like Sandra may not have got her job on her cooking abilities, if you catch my drift. HAHA! I like listening to Paula Deen's voice.
