You Know How It Is

I want to make everything.  I'm still recovering from the sensory overload this past weekend known to some of you as YarnCon.  So many things to knit.  Lots of things to finish.  I'm also feeling the same way about quilting.  I'm finding free patterns on the internet, and downloading them,  My virtual memory is low from all the downloaded knit and quilt patterns.  The wheels are spinning.  It doesn't help that I'm going to be overloaded with my non-crafty work for the next few months.  I'm looking forward to the quilt class that I'm starting next week.  I have an idea for a little Piccolo-sized mini quilt to sort of match the full sized one I'm making in class.  It never stops.
I'm learning to love my designs, and re-visit them.  This is the Lyubi (loo-bee) Blanket from Doggie Knits.  I knit the larger size for a wrap for myself, using (what else) Briar Rose Fibers Robusta.  I intended to wear the wrap at YarnCon, but forgot it, and used one of the book samples for a wrap.  Then a brilliant person suggested that I work it up in a finer yarn for some more drape.  So, yesterday I started one in some brilliantly colored Fourth of July.  Also started a Clapotis after seeing a friend's magnificent example knit in sock weight yarn.
Another knitting friend told me that she saw a review of Doggie Knits in a magazine, and described it as "glowing."  I didn't see one in Interweave Knits or Vogue Knitting this fall, so I stopped at Barnes and Noble yesterday, and found it on page 8 of the December issue of Knit N'Style.  Yes, it was.  Thanks!
