A little view of the back.  Kaffe Fassett's spots.  I'm sort of sorry for all the white.  The top sort of bleeds through it.  Some thoughts about last weekend's show in an upcoming post.  I'm working on finishing my big Log Cabin quilt, tax prep for tomorrow afternoon, and pulling items for the Do It Your Own D*mn Self Show this Saturday.

Loverly! What kind of sewing machine do you have? I don't have a free arm machine, so do most of my quilting by hand (which sounds quaint, and it is, if, by quaint, you mean a huge pain in the butt!) Looking for a new machine and would love to know how you like yours/what you'd recommend.

Hand quilting? I would never finish anything! I send my larger pieces out for long arm quilting. There's no way I would recommend stuffing all that fabric into a small opening on a home machine!

Back in November, my third Camry (over 21 years) bit the dust. We weren't planning to buy a car then, much less a new one since we'd just pulled equity out of our home to buy a foreclosed wreck in the Keys and my husband lost his job the November before that. But we sucked it up and bought a brand spanking new Prius (after negotiating--during my niece's wedding--on my BlackBerry) that I adore. I'll never have anything but a Toyota. Yeah, it's been recalled, but it's a great car. L.O.V.E.
