I am not what you would call a seasoned traveler. I've flown less than twenty times in my lifetime. Anything other than local travel is something I've never done over a holiday. So, the first time I do, the destination has to be Denver. On Tuesday, my family there told me things would all be melted by the time I left. Now, they're telling people still in the Denver airport that they might not fly again until Sunday. I'm not sure how severe the domino effect will be at Midway Airport this weekend. My niece, in Washington D.C., didn't make it home today, and her arrival time is questionable. The boys will make it there on schedule because they're taking the train. I'm not sure if I'll make it out on Saturday with the potential backlog of people who tried to fly out earlier. If I leave too late, it doesn't make sense to go any more, because I can't reschedule work time, and I need to start on the 28th. My attitude is just to take things as they come, this situation is not really in my control, and I'll find a way to make things work and keep us happy. It's just another day, right? I've been making more progress on my Ribby Shell in Noro Kureyon #116. As some of you know, I've declared sleeves to be over in my knitted wardrobe. I may do a side bar of my vest count so far. I'm obsessed.
