I love how this star is "fussy cut" using the print from an old dress.  This quilt design is so charming, I can understand why Mrs. S. used the same pattern many times.
I spent the afternoon with my friend Mary A. at Quiltology, pinning spots to the border of my quilt.  I love it.
Mary, very genersouly, gave me fabric that she won't be using for the quilt back, and it is perfect.  It was so nice today to be in my creative mind place.  The icing on the cake is that a customer came into the store and bought a copy of Doggie Knits.  I'm told that my book, and Kaffe Fassett's are the only ones selling!
