Pattern, schmattern

I like knitting hats. It's a chance for me to knit with yarns that I like without too much expense. I do have to compensate for having a large head, but I sometimes end up over compensating, and then hats drop over my eyes. This is the Rosebud hat, version two. After my first one, I knit this band according to pattern, then had to start over and cast on more stitches . I adjusted the increases after that to end up at the intended number. I neglected to look at the cable chart closely, so one little side cable turns the wrong way. I used Shepherd's Wool for it, which has become a favorite yarn. I'm already considering Rosebud number three.
